Koryo is the Taekwondo organization Hamed Konarivand founded in Europe with Afarin Djavanrouh. It began in 2017 and has grown into a regional network serving families across Geneva, Vaud and the Pays de Gex.
A club built as a system
Koryo is designed around age-appropriate progression rather than one class model for everyone. Young children begin with playful foundational work, juniors develop coordination and technical literacy, and older students move into more demanding Taekwondo training and competition pathways.
Where Koryo operates
The current network includes locations in Geneva, Gland/La Côte, Versoix/Mies and the Pays de Gex, including Gex, Saint-Genis-Pouilly and Ornex. Swiss Taekwondo lists Koryo as an affiliated club with Hamed as its contact.
The role of Koryo
Koryo is the real-world laboratory behind much of Hamed’s coaching work. Ideas are tested in classes, refined through observation, and — where appropriate — developed into repeatable methods such as TaekFunDo or into research questions.
